There’s a new event gaining momentum in Fort Lauderdale. Have you heard me mention FAT Village Arts District recently? There are some interesting things brewing in the warehouses and storefronts just west of N. Andrews Avenue and north of Broward Blvd.A group of individuals committed to furthering the art scene are working together to make downtown Fort Lauderdale THE destination of choice on a Saturday night for arts and culture. To that end, FAT Village is the first step in creating multiple venues to showcase local artists, performers and musicians.
Come down and start the night by visiting a new temporary exhibition space, have a drink, check out local artists and hear DJ One Star! From there, walk over the Puppet Network workshops, visit open art studios, live theatre performances and walk through the Sixth Star Entertainment warehouse that stores all sorts of fun props like a life size cinderella carriage, a gothic castle aisle, and much much more.
